Ghoksadanga Birendra Mahavidyalaya

The Department of Sanskrit at Ghoksadanga Birendra Mahavidyalaya offers a range of undergraduate programmes under the framework of NEP 2020, including Major, Minor, and Multidisciplinary Courses (MDC) as per university guidelines. The department is dedicated to promoting academic excellence and fostering a deeper understanding of Sanskrit language, literature, and related educational principles. It regularly organizes academic activities such as seminars, group discussions, and student presentations, along with the annual observance of Sanskrit Week (Diwas) on Shravana Purnima to encourage cultural and intellectual engagement. Continuous evaluation is ensured through internal assessments, including viva voce, written examinations, and practice-based learning, while remedial classes and comprehensive examination guidance are provided to support students in achieving better academic outcomes.
