Anti ragging cell

The Anti-Ragging Cell of Ghoksadanga Birendra Mahavidyalaya has been established to prevent ragging and ensure a safe, respectful, and harmonious educational environment for all students. The Cell works to create awareness, address complaints promptly, and take appropriate measures in accordance with institutional rules and applicable regulations.

The Anti-Ragging Cell ensures that complaints and concerns related to ragging are heard and addressed promptly, fairly, and confidentially. It provides a safe platform for students to report incidents or express concerns without fear of discrimination, intimidation, or retaliation. The Cell takes appropriate steps to prevent ragging and maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus environment.

  • To create awareness among students about the harmful effects and consequences of ragging.

  • To maintain a safe, healthy, and harmonious academic environment in the college.

Functions

  • To receive and review complaints related to ragging submitted by students or other members of the college community.
  • To conduct inquiries and discussions to ascertain the facts and circumstances of reported incidents.
  • To recommend appropriate preventive or disciplinary measures to the college authority.
  • To maintain confidentiality while handling complaints and protect the dignity and privacy of the individuals involved.
  • To ensure that complaints are addressed promptly and appropriate action is taken within a reasonable timeframe.
  • To create awareness among students about the prohibition, consequences, and prevention of ragging.
