Code of Conduct for Students
● Wearing the college ID card on campus is compulsory.
● Students must attend classes regularly and on time.
● Participation in NSS, co-curricular, and sports activities is encouraged.
● Digital devices must be used only for academic purposes on campus.
● Smoking and alcohol are strictly banned inside the campus.
● Students must help keep the campus clean.
● Damage to college property will result in disciplinary action.
● Lost or damaged library books must be compensated at current value.
● Students must attend the induction meeting at the beginning of the session.
● Insufficient attendance may restrict exam eligibility.
● Violations may lead to penalties, fines, or expulsion.
● Students with chronic communicable diseases must inform authorities before admission.
Code of Conduct for Teachers
● Governed by the West Bengal College Teachers (Security of Service) Act, 1975.
● Negligence, misconduct, insubordination, or misuse of property may invite action.
● Teachers will receive notice of charges and may present their case.
● Appeals can be made within 30 days to the Governing Body or the DPI.
● Minor issues may be handled through corrective measures such as written warnings.
Code of Conduct for the Governing Body
● Oversees college management and academic/administrative quality.
● Reviews academic results and ensures compliance with university rules.
● Manages finance, infrastructure, and discipline.
● May form subcommittees for administrative support.
● May initiate academic collaborations with other institutions.
● Secretary organizes meetings, maintains records, and manages finances.
Code of Conduct for Non-Teaching Staff
● Must maintain professionalism and support the college’s educational mission.
● Should create respectful and cooperative relationships.
● Conflicts must be handled through the official grievance system.
● Must uphold gender sensitivity and respect for all individuals.
● Must act impartially and value diversity.
● Must assist differently-abled persons with care.
● Should support academic and extracurricular activities.
● Conduct, attire, and communication must reflect institutional values.
● Must contribute to a clean and eco-friendly campus.
