As per the provisions of Section 4(1)(b) of the Right to Information Act, 2005, the statutory declaration of Ghoksadanga Birendra Mahavidyalaya College is hereby published by Dr. Gobinda Ranjbanshi, Principal, Ghoksadanga Birendra Mahavidyalaya. Our college is affiliated with Cooch Behar Panchanan Barma University and is aided by the Government of West Bengal. The RTI Cell of the college was formed on 20.08.2024, following the directives of West Bengal State University. In accordance with the Government of West Bengal Memo No. ED-1964/2017 dated 22.09.2017, the college constituted the RTI Cell, comprising a State Public Information Officer (SPIO) and an Appellate Authority, to ensure transparency and timely dissemination of information under the RTI Act. The college has a Governing Body, an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), and various Development and Advisory Committees that oversee academic and administrative activities. It operates in accordance with the rules and regulations laid down by Cooch Behar Panchanan Barma University and the Government of West Bengal, as amended from time to time. The college falls under the Grant-in-Aid category; therefore, financial transactions are audited by empanelled auditors recommended by the Director of Public Instructions, Education Directorate, Government of West Bengal. In addition, internal audits are conducted regularly. The college has various cells and committees to maintain discipline on campus. All such bodies function under the purview of Statutory Authorities. Applications under the Right to Information (RTI) Act must be accompanied by a non-judicial postal order or stamp worth ₹10.00, payable in favour of the Principal, Ghoksadanga Birendra Mahavidyalaya, Ghoksadanga, Cooch Behar, for effective processing. The application may be submitted to the State Public Information Officer (SPIO), Ghoksadanga, either by post or in person at his office. All information about the college is open to the public and can be accessed by citizens of India under the provisions of the RTI Act.
